Day 01: In Mumbai

With a warm welcome at Mumbai airport, you will move for hotel check-in to stay in luxurious environment.

Day 02: Mumbai – Economical Capital of India Is Waiting for You

Day 03: Mumbai to Cochin (by flight)

Day 07: Periyar to Alleppy (139 kms./ 03 hrs. drive approx).

Day 02: Cochin – Alleppey by road (70 Kms. / 01.3 hrs. drive approx)
Day will begin to travel for Alleppey or Alappuzha (Venice of the East). You will see picturesque canals, backwaters and lagoons. It is a paradise for honeymooners – famous for backwater tourism in India. You will take a ride in houseboat or Kettuvallam to cruise around backwaters of Alleppey to Kumarakom. You will stay in houseboats for pleasant night-stay during your honeymoon.

Day 03: Arrive in Kumarakom
After leaving houseboat in the morning in Kumarakom, you will be at a small island of Vembanad Lake in Kerala. You will see the marine life here. Day is reserved to spend in hotel full of relax, leisure and fun. You can see Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary too.

Day 04: Kumarakom – Periyar by road (185 Kms. / 4 hrs. drive approx)

Day 01: Arrival at Cochin – Munnar (135 Kms./ 04hrs. drive approx).

After arrival at Cochin Airport, you will be taken to Munnar – the largest tea growing region, known for rolling hills. Check-in to the hotel and you are free for leisure in evening.

Day 02: Munnar – Full day tour
The day is reserved for full day Munnar tour to explore Tea plantation, tea museum, Echo points, CSI Church, Mattupetty (famous for lake and dam). You will also visit Kundala Tea Plantation and lake.

Day 03: Munnar – Periyar ( 94 Kms./03 hrs. drive approx)
Day will begin with driving to Periyar where you will see Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in 777 sq km area of Cardamom Hills in Western Ghats. Thekkady Wildlife Reserve is also in your tour plan to see elephants, Bison, Deer and other animals and birds along with boat ride.

Kerala by Air:

The beautiful state of Kerala is well accessed by air as the state has three main International airports – One in Southern part – Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, One in Central Kerala – Cochin International Airport and third in Northern Part in Karipur or Calicut International Airport. All the main cities and attractions are well accessible by road from airport. Taxis can be hired from airports too or you can take a bus for onward journey. Kochi or Cochin international airport is the main airport with regular flights from different airports in India and worldwide.

Kerala by Rail:

The southern part of India is well connected via trains to more than 200 railway stations. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and other main cities of India. Some of the main trains reaching Kerala are Trivandrum Rajadhani, Ernakulam Duranto, Kerala Express, Netravati Express are some of the common trains connected well to different main cities of India.

Kerala by Road:

Road Connectivity is wonderful to the beautiful state as road conditions are good and well connected through National Highways and state highways. Ernakulathappan Uthsavom

Destination – Shiva Temple in Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerala
Date – January 15-22, 2016.

Ernakulathappan Uthsavam starts with hoisting of temple flag (Kodiyettam) on the first day evening; while on the seventh day there is Pakalppram, when deity is being taken out in procession with caparisoned elephants with Panchavadyam and later terminating at Durbar Hall ground after the famous Pandimelam and colorful fireworks. Different dance forms are performed by dancers to promote temple art. Not to mention classical music concerts and Bhajans. It is celebrated at Shiva Temple in Ernakulam, Kochi in Kerala where thousands of devotees gather to witness the grand festival. The grand festival is organized during the months of January – February for eight days.

Masimagam Festival

Date – February 22, 2016.
Destination – Pondicherry
Masi Magam Festival is annual festival organized between the months of February and March on the full moon day (in the Tamil Month of Masi). During the festival, deities from neighboring temples are brought around Karaikal and many devotees come to take holy dip in the sea to cleanse all the sins. The most important and significant deity is Sowriraja Perumal of Thirukannapurgm. On the day of Masi Magam, temple idols are taken to sea shore, pond and lake for ceremonial bath in a procession. The grand festival is also organized in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

Guruvayoor Aanaottam

Date – February – 20,2016
Destination – Guruvayoor, Thrissur
Guruvayoor Aanaottam is organized in Guruvayoor in Thrissur district of Kerala. It is elephant race in which the jumbos run to win. It is used to finish two days before the beginning of Guruvayur Utsavam where elephants come from Trikkunavay and other parts for the Guruvayur Utsavam. The wining elephant is honored to carry the Thidambu or the replica of the idol of Guruvayoorappan on all special occasions for one year. Kumarakom Boat Race

Kumarakom Boat Race or Sree Narayan Jayanthi Vallam Kali or Boat Race in Kumarakom is held in the month of September every year during Onam Festival. There are more than 1000 Oarsmen in boats of different sizes and shapes participating. Not forget to mention snake boats participating in the race. Iruttukuthi is the center of attraction in which about 50 oarsmen row. It is one of the famous competitions held here.
