Day 01: Arrive at Delhi

Day 03: Darjeeling
The day is reserved to explore Darjeeling’s attractions like Tiger Hill – presenting the view of Kanchenjunga, Mt Everest and other peaks of Eastern Himalaya. Sunrise time looks amazing here. Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati – Brahmaputra river cruise

Kalinga Festival

Date – February 6, 2016.
Destination – Bhubaneswar
Kalinga Festival is the National Festival of Martial Dance, celebrated to pay tribute to the Kalinga. It shows the vibrant traditions of martial art of India through dance and music. It took place on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar at Dhauli Shanti Stupa on the 10th and 11th of January. Martial artists from across the country participate in it and perform at their best. During the festival, you can see live performance of artists from different art of India that includes Chhow and Paika from Odisha. Thang Ta from Manipur, Malaripayattu from Kerala, etc are different forms of dance performed here.

Konark Festival

Date – February 9 – 23, 2016.
Destination – Konark, Odisha
One of the most famous and popular dance festivals in the country, Konark dance festival is organized every year in the month of December in the backdrop of the famous Sun Temple in Konark in Odisha. Dancing Hall or Salamander is an architectural wonder where walls are covered with fine artistic designs of the ancient times. The Losar Festival

Date – February 9–11, 2016.
Destination – Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal
Losar, New Year in Tibetan language, is an important holiday in Tibet, Bhutan and in Nepal as well as in India for certain ethnic groups. Before the Tibetan New Year – Nyi Shu Gu is celebrated on the eve of last night of the year. Losar Festival is celebrated for 15 days with the main celebration on the first three days. The festival begins with the making of beverage called as changkol from chhaang – a Tibetan cousin beer. The second day of festival is known as the King’s Losar. People prefer to wear traditional clothes, dance, sing and participate in different cultural activities.

Hornbill Festival, Nagaland

Date – December 3 – 11, 2016.
Destination – Kohima
One of the most preferred and largely celebrated festivals in Nagaland, Hornbill Festival is organized every year in the first week of December. It is called as the festival of festivals. People from Nagaland count all the festivals sacred; in this way, participating in them is essential. Different types of tribal dances, contemporary dances, musical shows, animal fight, and a variety of competitive events are organized during the festival. Kongali Bihu

Date – October 18,2016.
Destination – Assam
Kongali Bihu, also called as Kati Bihu, is a type of Bihu celebrated at the harvested time. The festival starts with lighten the earthen lamps at the foot of the household Tulsi Plant, the granary and garden along with the paddy fields. In order to protect the maturing paddy, people whirl a piece of bamboo and recite along with spelling the ward off pests and the evil eye. It is a less merriment festival that is celebrated in certain areas only. However, people also wear colorful and traditional clothes and worship along with participating in different cultural programs.

Bohag Bihu

Date – April 13 – 15, 2016.
Destination – Assam
Bohag Bihu, also called as Rangali Bihu and Haat Bihu, is a festival celebrated in the state of Assam and north eastern India as a beginning of the Assamese New Year in April. It is the month signifying the time of harvest. People, regardless of their religion gather and promote the celebration. It is celebrated seven day after Vishuva Sankranti in the month of Vaisakh or Bohag. It is a local festival and people living in different parts of the country prefer to visit their home town in Assam during this festival. People wear colorful clothes, dance and sing with lot of fun.

Elephant Festival

Date – February 16 – 19, 2016.
Destination – Kaziranga National Park, Assam
Elephant Festival in Assam or Kaziranga Elephant Festival is a yearly elephant festival help in the Kaziranga National Park Assam for the conservation and protection of Asiatic elephant. It is organized by the Forest Department in collaboration with Tourism Department of Assam with an objective to highlight and find ways to resolve increasing man-elephant conflict. During the festival, elephants are decorated from head to toe to participate in different programs. Parade, races, football, dance, etc are different programs organized in a grand way. It is organized in the month of February from 11 to 17 every year for one week.

Dehing Patkai Festival

The grand festival got its name after the Majestic Patkai range and the Mishievous Dehing River. Magh

Date – January 16, 2016.
Destination – Bihu or Bhogali Bihu, Assam
Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu or Moghar Domahi, is a harvest festival organized in the Hindu Month of Maagha (Jan-Feb) in state of Assam. It is also called as the Assam celebration of Shankranti, in which feast last for a week. Feasts and bonfires is the main celebration. People erect makeshift huts or Meji from Bamboo, leaves and thatch to eat the food prepared for the feast and then burn the huts the next morning. Different games like Tekeli Bhonga (pot-breaking), Buffalo fighting, etc are enjoyed and performed here. People also gather around the bonefire, cook food and make merry.

Durga Puja

Date – October 8 – 11, 2016.
Destination – West Bengal
Durga Puja, the most prominent festival in West Bengal celebrated with grand joyous and celebration for three days from Durga Saptami to Navmi, is the grand festival when people take home the statue of Goddess Durga and worship her. Both men and women dance and perform different dance and music forms along with enjoy delicious foods. Kenduli Mela

Date – January 14-16, 2016.
Destination – Kenduli Village, West Bengal
Kenduli Mela, celebrated for three days at Kenduli Village around 30 km from Shantiniketan in West Bengal, is help on the occasion of Makar Shankranti every year in the Birbhum District of West Bengal – known as Lal Mati-r-Desh owning to the red soil found here. The three-day fair got its name from famous poet Jaydev Kenduli about 42 km from Shantiniketan. It is called as Baul Mela or Jaydeva Mela, in which different types of cultural programs and events are organized; while shopkeepers and hawkers from across the state take part to sell their goods and products.

Maha Shivratri

Maha Shivratri – the grand festival, celebrated throughout the country on the fourteenth day of Falgun (March) to worship the Lord Shiva. One of the national festivals, Republic Day Parade is organized on 26th Jan every year in New Delhi from In front of Red Fort.
